Dr. Marco Albers

Dr. Marco Albers has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Dr. Marco started their career as a Credit Analyst at Landesbank Rheinland-Pfalz in 1997. Dr. Marco then worked as a Vice President at Credit Lyonnais from 2000 to 2003. From 2004 to 2007, they served as a Vice President at KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH. In 2008, they joined ING Bank as the Head of Asset Based Finance Shipping in Amsterdam. In 2011, they became the Managing Director and Head of Transport & Export Finance at DekaBank. Currently, they are the Head of Infrastructure, Transport & Export Finance and a Managing Director at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale since 2016.

Dr. Marco Albers completed their education with a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from Cal von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg in 1997. Dr. Marco then pursued a PhD in Corporate Governance from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, which they completed in 2002. Prior to this, they attended Towson University in 1992-1993, majoring in Business Administration.
