Elise Scheidel

Elise Scheidel's work experience includes roles in various companies spanning over several years. Elise started their career in 1991 as the Director of Information Services at Berkshire Health Systems, where they worked until 1997. During this time, they focused on managing software selection and implementation, including clinical, financial, physician practice management, and ancillary department systems. From 1997 to 2006, Elise served as the Director of Information Services at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, where they ensured favorable contract terms and pricing through vendor contract negotiations and implementation planning for advanced clinical systems and other departments. Elise also developed an IT governance structure, including an IT Steering Committee, and standardized IT project management methodology. In 2007, Elise became the President of Ames Associates Consulting, where they cultivated a success methodology and provided healthcare provider organizations, physicians, and state government clients with diverse project implementations and process overhauls to attain short and long-term information technology and operational goals. Elise also increased revenue, maximized profits, and minimized losses. In 2008, Elise joined H.I.S. Professionals, LLC as a Principal, where they offered healthcare information technology consulting services. Elise'sexpertise included IT strategic planning, system selection and implementation, HIE participation, HIPAA Privacy and Meaningful Use compliance assessments, IT assessments, and vendor contract negotiation. Currently, Elise holds the position of Project Manager at Delaware Health Information Network, starting in 2019.

Elise Scheidel completed their education in a chronological order. In 1979, they enrolled in Mount Holyoke College and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics and Philosophy. Following that, they pursued further education at Union College from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science. Additionally, Elise Scheidel has obtained two certifications: CPHIMS from HIMSS in February 2010 and PMP from the Project Management Institute in June 2007.
