Kent Fischer's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Kent started their career as a Drilling Rig Motorhand at Tri City Drilling from January 2004 to June 2006. Kent then worked as a Research Development Engineering Intern at Canadian Light Source Inc. / Centre canadien de rayonnement synchrotron in May 2009 for a duration of three months.
Starting from May 2010, Kent joined Delco Automation Inc. where they held several positions. Kent worked as a Project Engineer, Electrical Hardware Design from May 2010 to January 2015. In this role, they designed industrial automation PLC and motor control panels and generated Bill of Materials using AutoCAD. Kent also incorporated drawings into complete project drawing packages for panel manufacturing and site installation.
From January 2015 to August 2017, Kent worked as a Project Engineer, Software Design at Delco Automation Inc. Here, they developed and tested PLC and HMI programs for industrial automation systems including water treatment plants and correctional facilities. Kent also performed on-site testing and commissioning of automation systems.
Afterward, Kent was promoted to the position of Project Manager at Delco Automation Inc. from August 2017 to January 2020. As a Project Manager, they were responsible for managing and successfully completing projects involving process control applications. Kent maintained project schedules, budgets, and communicated and coordinated with contractors and consultants.
Most recently, Kent has been working as an Automation Supervisor at Delco Automation Inc. since January 2020. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Engineering in the same company as of February 2022.
Kent Fischer earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Kent completed their studies at the university from 2006 to 2010.
