Sumant Turlapati

Sumant Turlapati has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Sumant is currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Delfi Diagnostics since November 2021. Previously, Sumant worked at Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. for 6 years, holding various roles including Associate Director of Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineering Manager, and Lead Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Crescendo Bioscience for 6 years, starting as a Software Developer and eventually becoming a Principal Software Engineer. Sumant also worked at Entelos, Inc. as a Senior Informatics Engineer, where they worked closely with internal customers to fulfill user needs for informatics tools. Sumant started their career at Exelixis as a Bioinformatics Developer, communicating with biologists and integrating web-based Oracle database applications. Sumant also worked as a Software Design Consultant at Criterian Solutions, where they converted client requirements into design specifications. Sumant began their career at the University of Toledo as a Research Assistant, where they worked on projects related to distributed simulation and satellite image processing.

Sumant Turlapati obtained a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences between the years 2003 and 2005.
