Jaap Swierenga has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources and organizational development. Jaap currently serves as the Head of HR & OD at Deli Home since March 2022. Previously, they worked as an HR Business Partner at Deli Home from September 2021 to March 2022.
Prior to joining Deli Home, Jaap was the owner of ZZANZLAM from March 2011 to March 2022, where they provided change management and HR consulting services to individuals and organizations. Jaap has a strong passion for achieving sustainable results and adapting their approach to the complexity of each situation.
Before their entrepreneurial venture, Jaap held various interim HR management positions at FrieslandCampina. Jaap served as an HR Manager a.i. from April 2021 to September 2021, an HR Manager Leerdam a.i. from March 2020 to October 2020, and a Senior HR Business Partner Dairy Essentials a.i. from January 2019 to July 2019. Jaap also took on the role of HR Manager Packaging Network a.i. from May 2018 to December 2018.
Furthermore, Jaap has gained international experience as an HR Implementation Manager at Huisman Konstrukce, s.r.o. in 2017 and Huisman (China) Co., Ltd. from July 2016 to July 2017. Jaap was responsible for implementing global HR strategies and managing the HR function.
Additionally, Jaap worked as an HR Manager at FrieslandCampina, where they oversaw HR operations at various locations. Jaap served as the HR Manager DOMO Bedum from January 2016 to July 2016 and the HR Manager for Commerce, Business Group Ingredients from September 2015 to December 2015.
Prior to that, Jaap served as a Transition Manager Group HR a.i. and Strategic HR Consultant a.i. at Huisman Equipment B.V. in 2014. Jaap played a crucial role in reshaping the HR practices within the Huisman Group and advising the Board of Directors and Executive Committee on implementing a new HR model.
Earlier in their career, Jaap worked as a Programme Manager HRD a.i. at Damen Shipyards Group from February 2012 to January 2014. Jaap managed HR development projects and programs to enhance organizational performance.

Jaap Swierenga obtained a Master's degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they studied from 1985 to 1993. Prior to that, they attended Johan van Oldebarneveldt Gymnasium in Amersfoort from 1979 to 1985. In addition to their formal education, Swierenga also holds additional certifications in Management Drives from Management Drives Europe BV, Transition Management from Linkage, Inc., and personality and capacity assessment from PiCompany.
