Sayan Das

Sayan Das is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in designing and optimizing backend search platforms, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Delivery Hero since April 2022. At Delivery Hero, Sayan has played a key role in scaling a high-concurrency cloud-distributed backend search system utilizing Elasticsearch and Lucene, facilitating over 80 million daily searches in 40 languages. Prior experience includes positions at Quinbay, enhancing search infrastructure for BliBli.com, and COVIAM, where Sayan developed low-latency distributed search systems and scaled Apache Solr. Sayan's early career includes an internship focused on implementing Google ad feed mechanisms and front-end development at Signzy.
