Michael Acker

Vice President, Biomolecular Sciences at Delphia Therapeutics

Michael Acker is an experienced leader in biomolecular sciences, currently serving as Vice President at Delphia Therapeutics since December 2022. Previously, Michael held the role of Vice President at a stealth-mode biotech startup until May 2024 and served as Senior Director of Biochemistry and Biophysics at MOMA Therapeutics from February 2020 to December 2022. Prior to that, Michael worked at Third Rock Ventures as a consultant and spent nearly a decade at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research in various positions, including Senior Investigator. Michael began a career in academia as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School and as a Graduate Student at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where research focused on protein synthesis mechanisms and enzymatic pathways related to natural product chemistry. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Juniata College.
