Gamal Mustapha

Gamal Mustapha, P.Eng has a strong background in engineering and product management. Gamal is currently the Director of Product Management at Delta Controls Inc., where they have been since December 2020. Prior to this role, they worked as a Product Manager at the same company from April 2019 to December 2020.

Before joining Delta Controls Inc., Gamal held the position of President at SMT Research Ltd. from February 2006 to April 2019. In this role, they oversaw all business, engineering, and operations for the company, managed the design and implementation of electronic hardware and software systems, and wrote business plans to meet corporate objectives.

Gamal also has experience as the VP of Engineering at Detec Systems Ltd. from October 2003 to February 2006, and as a Program Manager at Symbol Technologies from October 2001 to October 2003. In these roles, they managed multidisciplinary teams and oversaw various aspects of engineering and product development.

Earlier in their career, Gamal worked as a Design Engineer/R&D Manager at Norscan Instruments Ltd. from 1994 to 2001, where they managed R&D and product engineering, handled change requests, and adhered to schedule and budgets to accomplish company objectives. Gamal also gained experience as a Computer Analyst at Hughes Aircraft Company in 1992, where they were involved in system administration and assisted in the analysis of stealth sonar experiments.

Gamal Mustapha, P.Eng completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba between 1988 and 1994. Gamal also obtained additional certifications, such as Node.js Essential Training from LinkedIn in 2022 and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2013.
