Brett Hauenstein has a significant and diverse work experience. Brett started their career in 1994 in the United States Air Force, where they held various roles such as Chief of Information Systems, Chief of Standardization and Evaluation, Flight Safety Officer, and Assistant Director of Operations. During this time, they gained expertise in flight operations, safety, and personnel management.
In 2002, Hauenstein joined the United States Special Operations Command, where they worked as a Resource Structure Analyst, Aviation Analyst, and Corporate Resource Planner. Their responsibilities included conducting strategic assessments, reviewing executable requirements, and providing analytical support for budget submissions.
Hauenstein returned to the United States Air Force in 2005, serving as Chief of Staff, Operations Officer, Chief of Safety, and Commander of the 23d Flying Training Squadron. In these roles, they managed flight training operations, oversaw safety disciplines, and commanded a helicopter training school.
From 2011 to 2014, Hauenstein worked for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where they served as Chief of Staff, Office Director, Director of Central American & Caribbean Affairs, and Regional Security Expert. Brett played a key role in policy development, international negotiations, and guiding staff to successful policy positions.
Most recently, Hauenstein worked for BlueWater Federal Solutions and Delta Solutions and Strategies as a Program Manager and Senior Special Operations Analyst. In this role, they managed programs and provided strategic analysis for special operations.
Throughout their career, Hauenstein has demonstrated a strong capability for leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration. Their experience spans both military and civilian sectors, making him a versatile professional in various domains.
Brett Hauenstein has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Criminal Justice, which they obtained from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the years 1985 to 1989. Later, in 1999 to 2000, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical Science Technology at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. In 2001 to 2002, they attended Air University (USAF Graduate College) and earned a Master's degree in Military Operational Art and Science/Studies. In 2010 to 2011, Brett attended the National Defense University (Executive Leadership School) and achieved an M.S. (Distinguished Graduate) degree in Operational Planning and Strategy.
