Charlie Abbott

Charlie Abbott has extensive work experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing Roku applications. Charlie has worked in various roles and companies, including Deltatre, Disc7, Discovery Inc, fuboTV, UI CENTRIC, TVPlayer, DAZN, SYZYGY, Sky, and BBC.

At Deltatre, Charlie is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer, and previously served as a Platform Lead. In these roles, they have gained experience in client-facing roles and has worked on projects such as Crave, CTV, TSN, and beIN SPORTS. Charlie'sskills include Roku BrightScript, SceneGraph, JavaScript, Agile, and Scrum.

Before joining Deltatre, Charlie worked at Disc7 as a Director, where they managed website and mobile app content creation and production.

Charlie also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Discovery Inc, a Senior Software Consultant at fuboTV, a Lead Developer at UI CENTRIC, a Senior Developer at TVPlayer, a Senior Software Developer at DAZN, and a React JS Developer at SYZYGY.

Prior to these roles, Charlie worked at Sky, where they served as a Senior Software Developer. Charlie was responsible for developing NOW TV Roku products and worked on UI development, code optimization, and maintenance.

Charlie started their career at the BBC as a Senior Flash/Flex Software Engineer, developing embedded media players for iPlayer and BBC websites. Charlie also worked on the development of audio and video players and created prototypes for usability testing.
