Dean Carson

Dean Carson is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the life sciences sector. Currently serving as the CEO for both Viridia and EmpathBio at atai Life Sciences, Dean also holds the position of Entrepreneur In Residence at DemeRx, Inc. and is a member of the Board of Directors for DemeRx. Previously, Dean was the Vice President of Scientific Affairs and external strategic consultant at Saniona, and the founder and CEO of Katana Pharmaceuticals. Earlier roles include Senior MSL at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies and Vice President of US Operations at Anatomics. Dean's academic credentials include a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Stanford University School of Medicine, a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of Sydney, and an honors Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience from UNSW.
