Nicole Demaise

Nicole DeMaise is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various high-level positions. Currently serving as Chief Legal Officer and Cayman Company Secretary at Demyst since 2019, Nicole oversees legal, risk, and compliance operations while also advising the Board of Directors and senior executives. Previously, Nicole held the role of General Counsel at KPMG in the Cayman Islands, providing legal support across professional service networks. Prior experience includes serving as an Attorney at Baker Donelson, where litigation practices were led and involvement with the Women’s Initiative Group was championed, and as a Senior Associate at Litchfield Cavo LLP, spearheading significant commercial litigation cases. Nicole began their career as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. Francine I. Axelrad and has since built a robust educational background, including a Master of Laws in Tax Law from Villanova University and a Doctor of Law from Rutgers Law School.
