Birgitte Arild Nielsen

Birgitte Arild Nielsen is an experienced educational consultant and leader with a strong background in special education, particularly focused on individuals with congenital deafblindness. Currently serving as Faglig konsulent at Den Sociale Virksomhed in Region Hovedstaden since March 2020, Birgitte has previously held significant roles, including Afdelingsleder at Geelsgårdskolen and various teaching positions at UCC and within the deafblind community. With a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Gentofte socialpædagogiske seminarium and a Diplom in Specialpædagogik from Professionshøjskolen UCC, Birgitte possesses extensive experience in pedagogical practices, team leadership, and curriculum development for special needs education.
