Maria Mroue

Maria Mroue is an experienced marketing and communications professional currently serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications at DEN since January 2022. Previously, Maria held the position of Chairman of the Board and Board Member at ProCom – Viestinnän ammattilaiset ry from November 2018 to November 2023. At Messukeskus Helsinki, Maria worked as the Director of Marketing and Communications and was a Member of the Management Board from October 2011 to January 2022, where significant achievements included the establishment of an ambitious climate goal and pioneering reporting practices aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Maria also served as Communications Director at Finnair from March 2005 to October 2011, spearheading initiatives that enhanced social media presence and garnered international recognition. Awards received throughout a distinguished career include the PR Publication of the Year in 2008 and recognition for annual reports and corporate communications. Maria holds a Master of Social Sciences degree in Communications from the University of Helsinki, earned between 2000 and 2006.
