Esteban Escalona has had a long and varied career in the finance and business sectors. Esteban began their professional journey in 1998 as an Assistant Tax Manager for Deloitte Chile. Esteban then moved on to PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2000 as a Senior Specialist. In 2002, they became a TAX Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service of Chile (SII). From 2004 to 2015, they worked as a Tax Law Professor for the Auditors Accountants School of Santiago, and as a Research Staff Member for the Center for Tax Studies, University of Chile (CET). In 2014, they joined the National Cultural Council and the arts, Government of Chile as a Specialist Assessment Adviser literary projects. Esteban also founded and served as CFO for DENTIDESK in 2014 and ITPLAYDO in 2018. In 2021, they joined the New York Women's chamber of Commerce as a Senior Business & Finance Specialist. Esteban also teaches at the Facultad de Economía y Negocios - Universidad de Chile, both as an undergraduate teacher in accounting, audit, and control engineering management, and as a professor in the Graduate School of Business and Economics.
