Joe Brown, CAAP, has a diverse work experience in the creative and design field. Joe currently works as a Lead UI at dentsu, delivering idea-led experiences for digital platforms globally, with a focus on the Honda brand. Prior to that, they served as a Lead UX and Design Systems specialist at Thomson Reuters, working on projects such as Westlaw and Reuters.com. Joe also has experience as a Design System Lead at Canadian Tire Corporation and a Senior Designer at GoodMorning.com. Before that, Joe held creative lead roles at Colour and Think Marketing Inc. Joe began their career as an Associate Creative Director at Brown Communications Group, where they later became a Senior Art Director and received recognition for their work on a platinum international award-winning campaign. Joe also gained experience as a Senior Designer at Hawk, where they worked on projects for various clients, including Little Tykes and Cavendish Farms. Joe started their career as a Copywriter at MBS Radio, developing scripts for commercials aired nationally and locally.
Joe Brown, CAAP, obtained a CAAP (Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional) Designation in Marketing from the Institute of Communications Agencies in 2013-2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Design and Visual Communications, General from Université de Moncton in 1990-1994. Joe Brown has also acquired various certifications and attended workshops in subjects such as UX design, accessibility, project management, and motion graphics design.
