Allie Engelken is currently the VP of Community Development for the Denver Broncos. Prior to their current role, Allie served as the Director of Community & Charitable Programs for the Washington Redskins from June 2011 to February 2017. In this role, Allie was responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Washington Football Team Charitable Foundation signature programs in the areas of education, health and wellness, and community outreach.
Allie was the primary point of contact for business partnerships in 7 key school districts: District of Columbia, Prince George’s County (MD), Loudoun, Fairfax, Chesterfield and Henrico Counties (VA) & Richmond City (VA). Allie developed and maintained relationships with non-profit partner organizations to ensure effective programming and events. Additionally, they oversaw a robust in-school reading program, including curriculum development, for 4th & 5th grade students in more than 120 regional elementary schools in accordance with statewide testing requirements.
In partnership with the District of Columbia Public Schools, Allie created & launched a required in-school health and wellness program for every 7th grade student. Each year, they planned and executed more than 90 community events & volunteer opportunities in the greater Washington, DC area. This included overseeing logistics for event planning including registration, timeline, scripts, vendor management, etc. for events ranging from 4 attendees to more than 3,000 attendees.
Allie worked to recruit current and former professional football players to participate in internal and external corporate and community events. Allie provided professional development to athletes and connected athletes with vetted non-profit partners in their interest spaces. Lastly, they collaborated with the Executive Director and the Director of Special Events to strategically enhance fundraising initiatives and fulfill the benefits of programmatic sponsorships.
Allie Engelken has a Master's degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Ohio University. Allie also has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University with a focus in Advertising Management. Lastly, Allie has certification from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in NFL's League of Leaders Inaugural Cohort.
