Maria Karkos has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Maria currently works as the Team Lead Brand, Category & Trade Marketing at Deoleo since December 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Brand Manager for Bertolli at Deoleo from April 2022 to November 2022.

Before joining Deoleo, Maria worked at Bahlsen where they held the position of Global Brand Manager from October 2019 to March 2022. Maria was responsible for global brand positioning, developing brand strategy, and leading brand initiatives. Maria also managed global partner agencies and provided brand consultation for markets. Earlier at Bahlsen, they served as the Global Innovation Manager from October 2018 to September 2019, where they applied consumer insights and brand strategy to develop a global assortment strategy and innovation pipeline.

Maria had also gained experience at Nestlé, where they worked as the Brand Manager for NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto from April 2018 to September 2018. Prior to that, they served as a Junior Brand Manager for NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto from October 2016 to March 2018. Maria started their career at Nestlé as a Trainee in Marketing and Sales for the Beverages & Confectionary Business Unit from October 2014 to September 2016.

OETKER (UK) LIMITED in 2013, where they worked in Marketing for Frozen Pizza, and at Dr. Oetker in 2013, where they gained experience in Category Management for Ambient food.
