Ella Cecilia Naliponguit

Ella Cecilia Naliponguit has extensive experience in health and education sectors, currently serving as Director III at the Department of Education in the Philippines since November 2012. Prior roles include contributions to the World Health Organization as a member of the Technical Advisory Group of Experts in Educational Institutions and COVID-19, and participation in the Guideline Development Group for School Health Services. Ella has also been involved in the Golden Rice Project with Helen Keller Intl, served as a Governing Board Member for SEAMEO RECFON, and worked as a consultant for Fit for School, focusing on promoting school health programs and implementing health evaluations. Early career experience includes roles as Medical Officer V and III in various health institutions, managing health program designs and pediatric patients. Educational qualifications comprise a Master's in Crisis and Disaster Risk Management from the Philippine Public Safety College, a Master's in Public Management from Ateneo de Manila University, and a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan.
