Rose Croog has a diverse range of work experience in the energy and environmental field. Rose currently holds the position of Lead Data Analyst at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where they develop data tracking systems and PowerBI dashboards to enhance data accessibility and transparency. Prior to this role, they served as a Project Officer at the DOE, monitoring grants worth $11.4M in the Weatherization Assistance Program and driving electrification and workforce development initiatives.
Before joining the DOE, Rose worked at the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection as an Associate Research Analyst and later as a Research Analyst. In these roles, they facilitated program design and development to address health and safety barriers in energy-savings programs. Rose also played a key role in revitalizing data collection and implementing energy efficiency projects.
Rose has also gained experience in tutoring, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability. Rose worked as a Mathematics Tutor at Parliament Tutors and as an Assistant Public Involvement Specialist at Burns & McDonnell, where they managed stakeholder engagement efforts in transmission corridor projects. Additionally, they held various roles at the University of Connecticut, including Graduate Representative, Graduate Research Assistant, and Teaching Assistant.
Throughout their career, Rose has demonstrated a passion for energy and environmental policy and has consistently sought opportunities to contribute to sustainability efforts.
Rose Croog completed their education in various fields of study. Rose obtained a Master of Science in Applied and Resource Economics from the University of Connecticut in 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the same institution in 2016. During their undergraduate years, they also pursued minors in Mathematics, Sociology, and Environmental Policy. Additionally, Rose Croog engaged in Cultural Studies in the Caribbean as a student at Université des Antilles et de la Guyane, starting in 2015. Rose has also obtained certifications, including Technical Project Officer Level I and II from the U.S. Department of Energy in 2023 and a Venture for All® Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship: Changemaking for Change Leaders from Columbia Business School in 2015.
