Phillipa Thomas

Phillipa Thomas has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health. Phillipa most recently worked at the Victorian Department of Health as the Executive Director of Strategy & Policy. Prior to that, they held positions at Alfred Health, where they served as the Manager of Strategy & Service Planning for Mental & Addiction Health. Phillipa also worked as a Research Fellow and Manager of Resolutions & Review at the Mental Health Complaints Commissioner. Additionally, Phillipa has experience at the Department of Health & Human Services, Victoria, and The Salvation Army, where they worked as a Senior Program Manager and Social Worker, respectively. Phillipa began their career as a Trauma and Grief Counsellor at Coronial Services Victoria.

Phillipa Thomas holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Monash University which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Developmental Mental Health at the University of Melbourne from 2005 to 2006. Phillipa obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from RMIT University from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their degrees, they have also obtained additional certifications including a Licensed User - National Mental Health Planning Framework from NMHPSF University of Queensland in 2018 and a Level 4 Social Marketing Certificate from the National Social Marketing Centre in 2017.
