Edgar Velez Rivera

Edgar Velez Rivera is an experienced physical security engineer currently employed by the U.S. Department of State since March 2021, specializing in CCTV systems and Tier 3 support for video management systems. Prior experience includes serving as a design engineer for Chenega Corporation, where responsibilities involved evaluating and maintaining CCTV products, and managing security systems as an account manager for Tech Systems, supporting various high-profile clients in Puerto Rico. Additionally, Edgar held roles as a security specialist and systems integration engineer within the Department of State and RC_ARINC, focusing on physical security for sensitive sites. Previous positions include physical security specialist at Siemens Government Services, applications engineer at InterTECH Security, and several technical support roles across industry leaders GE Security, American Auto-Matrix, and Siemens Industry. Edgar holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
