Nile Marquedant is a Global Health Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Department of State, actively involved in the Pandemic Negotiating Team since February 2016. Previous roles at the Department include Special Assistant in the Office of the Coordinator for Global COVID-19 Response and Health Security, Sri Lanka and Maldives Desk Officer in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, and multiple positions as Staff Assistant and Foreign Affairs Officer within the same bureau. Nile also has experience as an intern in the Office of Regional Affairs. Prior to this, Nile worked as an Assistant to the Senior Program Manager and Volunteer Coordinator at the Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development. Academically, Nile holds a Master's degree in Security Policy Studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs and a Bachelor's degree in Politics and Psychology from New York University. High school education was completed at Landon School.
