Rachel Gandin Mark has a diverse range of work experience. Rachel has held various roles at different organizations, starting with their work at the U.S. Department of State. There, they were involved in the Middle East Media Initiative as a Principal Investigator, focusing on supporting and training Arab TV screenwriters and content creators. Rachel also served as the Program Director for the American Film Showcase, overseeing the film diplomacy program of the U.S. Department of State.
In addition to their work at the Department of State, Rachel worked as the Director of International Programs at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. In this role, they managed two State Department grant programs: the American Film Showcase and the Middle East Media Initiative.
Before their time at the Department of State and USC, Rachel worked at The Walt Disney Studios as the sole Creative Producer of The United, Disney's first Arabic-language feature film. Rachel also set up two additional feature film projects for development at Disney.
Rachel has also lent their expertise as a Creative Consultant for the Sundance Institute and the Jordanian Royal Film Commission, as well as serving as an Associate Director for the Arab Film Festival. Currently, they hold the position of Political Partner at the Truman National Security Project.

Rachel Gandin Mark has a BA in International Development Studies from UCLA. Rachel also holds a Certificate from The American University in Cairo in CASA (Center for Arabic Study Abroad). Furthermore, Rachel has an MA in Arab Studies from Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service.
