Amber Gorrie

Amber Gorrie has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and marketing. Amber is currently the Director of Communications at the Department of Training and Workforce Development since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Media Officer at the same department since April 2017. Before joining the Department of Training and Workforce Development, Amber served as the Coordinator of Communications, Marketing, and Events at The City of Wanneroo from May 2014 to April 2017. Amber also worked as a Public Relations Manager at The Hub Marketing Communications from January 2013 to April 2014. Additionally, they have held positions as a Media and Communications Officer at Department of Education, Western Australia from November 2008 to January 2013, and as a Media and Communications Officer at Department of Fire and Emergency Services from November 2011 to June 2012. Amber started their career as an Events and Administration Assistant at the Department of Education and Training in May 2008, and also briefly worked as a Public Relations Assistant at Essence Publishing from January 2008 to June 2008. Amber's expertise includes strategic media planning, public relations, event management, and team leadership.

Amber Gorrie attended Edith Cowan University from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Communication degree with a specialization in Public Relations and Advertising.
