Yonela Diko

Yonela Diko currently serves as the Head of Communications at the Department of Water and Sanitation, a position held since June 2020. Previous experience includes a role as a Consultant at Standard Bank Group from November 2012 to January 2015, specializing in Retirement Funds and Investment Options. At the University of the Witwatersrand, from January 2010 to December 2011, Yonela functioned as an Associate Researcher, responsible for collecting and presenting qualitative and quantitative data, and engaging with stakeholders. Earlier, as an EB Consultant at NBC Holdings from February 2007 to February 2009, responsibilities included preparing reports for the Board of Trustees and conducting audits on various fund policies. Yonela holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Economics from the University of Cape Town, obtained between 2001 and 2004.
