Tim Hilliar

Tim Hilliar has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Tim is currently working as the Deputy Director - Development partnerships at KZN Department: Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs since May 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Catalyx Consulting from February 2014 to May 2020, where they held the role of Social Consultant / Jumpstart National Manager. In this role, they managed a national project called Jumpstart, which aimed to bridge the gap between young disadvantaged youth and the retail industry. Tim also managed the operational duties of six offices around South Africa that implemented the Jumpstart program. Additionally, they built and managed relationships with partners such as Mr Price, SPAR, and Toys R Us, and secured external funding from the National Youth Development Agency. Before joining Catalyx Consulting, Tim worked as an NGO Manager at One Life Church from January 2011 to January 2014.

Tim Hilliar received their Honours in Social Science with a specialization in Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they studied from 2007 until 2010. Tim then pursued their Master of Public Health (MPH) in the field of Public Health at the University of the Western Cape, which they completed from 2015 to 2018.
