Taryn Sikorski, CPACC, WAS, CPWA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Taryn recently joined Deque Systems, Inc as an Accessibility Consultant in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at McGraw-Hill Education where they held multiple positions. From 2018 to 2022, they served as a Lead Content Engineer, responsible for developing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and conducting internal content accessibility audits. From 2015 to 2018, Taryn was a Senior Instructional Designer, where they developed the UCT process, managed and updated custom authoring kits, and resolved authoring issues. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as an Instructional Designer, meeting key deadlines for high-value products and conceptualizing interactive content for educational software.

Prior to their time at McGraw-Hill Education, Taryn worked at the Center for Digital Innovation/McGraw-Hill in 2009 as a part of the Special Projects team. Here, they successfully completed important projects with tight deadlines, applied organizational talents, and played an instrumental role in various aspects of the job.

Taryn Sikorski, CPACC, WAS, CPWA, earned a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of North Texas, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Taryn has also obtained several certifications from the IAAP - International Association of Accessibility Professionals. In September 2021, they became a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), and in March 2022, they acquired the certifications of Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) and IAAP Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA).
