Rachel Eastman

Rachel Eastman currently serves as the Principal at Cooper Elementary in Derby Public Schools USD260 since June 2020, following a role as Assistant Principal at Wichita Public Schools USD259 from June 2018 to June 2020. With a strong foundation in music education, Rachel has held various positions, including Music Teacher at Brentwood Elementary within the Austin Independent School District and at Brandeis Hillel Day School, where responsibilities included designing and implementing music instruction for K-8 students. Rachel also has experience as President of the Kodaly Music Educators of Kansas, overseeing professional development for educators, and as an Administrative Intern at Stanley Elementary. Rachel holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Arizona State University and has a Bachelor of Music in Music Education K-12 from Anderson University. Additional qualifications include a Kodaly Certification (level 2) from the University of St. Thomas.
