David Sutton

David Sutton has over 25 years of work experience in the field of information security and systems administration. David currently serves as the Director of Information Security at DerbySoft, where they have been working since 2016. Prior to their current role, they held the position of Manager of Security at DerbySoft. Before joining DerbySoft, David worked at CBRE as a Sr. Security Engineer from 2013 to 2016. David also has a long tenure at Dell Services, where they served as a Sr. Security Systems Sr. Advisor from 2001 to 2013. David's early career included roles at Southwest Securities and AST Computer, where they gained experience in systems administration and support.

David Sutton attended The University of Texas at Arlington from 1992 to 1994 and Cameron University from 1990 to 1992. David earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Collin College. David has additional certifications including GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) from the SANS Institute in January 2016, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) from (ISC)² in February 2015, ITIL certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in June 2014, GIAC Certified Incident Handler from the SANS Institute in September 2008, and ArcSight Certified Security Analyst from HP Enterprise Security Services in August 2007.
