Patrick Bowen has extensive work experience in research and development, with a focus on materials science and metallurgy. Patrick started their career as a Senior Research Metallurgist at Deringer-Ney Inc., where they specialized in precious metal alloy development for medical device and electronic test applications. Patrick also participated in materials characterization, technical support, metrology, and failure analysis efforts. After working as an R&D Manager, they became the Director of Research and Development, leading a team responsible for driving next-generation material and process development at Deringer-Ney. Patrick then served as the Director of Research, Development, and Quality before being promoted to Vice President of Research, Development, Quality, and Regulatory. Prior to their time at Deringer-Ney, Patrick was a Ph.D. Candidate in Materials Science at Michigan Technological University and worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. Patrick also has experience as a frontend developer and graphic designer at Masana LLC.
Patrick Bowen received their Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2011. Patrick then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering from the same institution in 2015.
