Matthew Johnson

Matt Johnson is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Vice President of Technical Services and Construction at Deriva Energy since October 2023. Prior to this role, Matt held several leadership positions at Duke Energy Corporation from March 2020, including Vice President of Technical Services and Construction, and General Manager of Engineering and Construction. Matt's experience also includes serving as Project Director of Development at NextEra Energy Resources from May 2017 to March 2020, and a range of roles at Duke Energy Corporation from November 2009 to May 2017, culminating in positions such as Senior Project Manager and Director of Asset Management. Matt began a career with Jacobs as a Mechanical Engineer from June 2006 to November 2009. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and furthered education at Wake Forest University School of Business.
