Christine Lien has a diverse work experience. In 2019, they were the Director of Content at Derivita. From 2016-2019, they were the Assistant Director of Wisconsin Collaboratory for Enhanced Learning at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they presented at national conferences and campus-wide teaching and learning symposiums, implemented, co-led, and developed modules for a 10-week teaching professional development seminar for graduate teaching assistants, and moderated 12 instructor workshops and orientations on implementing instructional strategies. Christine was also the Program Coordinator for the Wisconsin Collaboratory for Enhanced Learning from 2016-2019, where they created and administered 5 program review surveys, analyzed, summarized, and reported program review data, and hired, supervised, trained, and managed the payroll of student workers. From 2014-2016, they were the Summer Collegiate Experience Mathematics Coordinator at the Department of Mathematics, University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they coordinated 4 different math courses for 140+ students, supervised and trained 8 graduate instructors teaching the course, and provided academic support and advising for students historically underrepresented in higher education. Christine was also the Precalculus Coordinator at the Department of Mathematics from 2014-2016, where they directed the mathematics courses in the UW-Madison College and Intermediate Algebra program which serves an average of 850 undergraduate students annually, developed course objectives, learning objectives, and lesson plans for instructors, and revised and streamlined the College Algebra curriculum to reflect course objectives. In 2014, they were an Instructor at Occidental College, where they designed the syllabus, exams, computer lab assignments, and other coursework, taught two first semester calculus courses with a lab component, and created three exams and developed nine computer lab assignments.
Christine Lien has a strong educational background in Mathematics. Christine obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Pomona College, followed by a Master of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Christine is currently in the process of completing their Doctoral Studies in Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (ABD). Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Project Management Foundations and Project Management Foundations: Teams from Lynda.com in March 2019.
