Viyona Mohan

Viyona Mohan has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2015, they completed an internship at Compassion Unlimited Plus Action - India and WRRC in Bannerghatta National Park. In 2017, they worked at Schneider Electric, focusing on Occupational Risk Assessment and Environmental Risk Assessment. From 2019 to 2020, they were involved in a research project on water sustainability at Fields of View. In 2020, they joined Public Affairs Centre and contributed to the research and analysis of the COVID-19 chapter of the Public Affairs Index report, as well as the design and analysis of state fact sheets. Since 2021, they have been working as the National Programme Coordinator for the Forest Rights Act and Governance Program at the Centre for Pastoralism. Viyona's most recent position, starting in 2023, is as a Manager of Climate Finance at Desai & Associates.

Viyona Mohan has a strong educational background with a focus on public policy and governance. Viyona obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Public Policy and Governance from Azim Premji University, where they studied from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Public Policy and Environmental Studies from FLAME University, from 2014 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Viyona has also obtained certifications in the field of data science. Viyona received an edX Verified Certificate for Data Science: Visualization from edX in March 2022. Prior to that, in May 2021, they obtained a Harvard edX Verified Certificate for Data Science: R Basics, also from edX. These certifications reflect their commitment to enhancing their skills and staying current in the field of data science.
