Jeremy McFarland

Jeremy McFarland is an experienced archaeologist currently working at the Desert Research Institute since May 2023. McFarland has held various roles in academia and fieldwork, including Graduate Teaching Assistant and Archaeological Technician at the University of Nevada, Reno from July 2020 to May 2024, and previously served as a Field Archaeologist with the Far Western Anthropological Research Group, Inc. in January 2022. Other notable positions include Archaeology Crew Lead at The Great Basin Institute, Research Associate, Research Diver, and Research Assistant at Humboldt State University, and GIS Program Manager at the Dos Hombres to Gran Cacao Archaeological Field School. McFarland's educational background includes a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Nevada, Reno, expected in May 2025, and a degree in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology from Humboldt State University, completed in 2018.
