I’m Nuno Mamede Santos, a passionate regenerative land designer and systems thinker dedicated to creating landscapes where ecological health and human resilience thrive together. With over 20 years of experience, my vision goes beyond sustainability: I strive to restore the deep connection between people and the land, grounding prosperity in the regeneration of the ecosystems that sustain us.

At Terracrua Design and Earthbenders.pt, I approach each landscape as a living, shared system. My work begins with the regeneration of essential natural elements—water, fertile soils, and biodiversity corridors—before integrating solutions that nurture vibrant communities. Through watershed restoration, the creation of ecological corridors, and the protection of natural areas, I establish networks that form the backbone of resilient landscapes, ensuring stability, health, and long-lasting resources for communities.

Building on this ecological foundation, my focus is on designing how people interact with the land, promoting local economies and regenerative agricultural practices. I integrate cooperative infrastructures and access routes that respect the natural flows of the landscape. My Theory of Regenerative Wealth redefines the concept of wealth, valuing ecological assets and local systems, enabling communities to grow in harmony with their environment without depleting resources.

For me, regenerative design is about creating places where life naturally flourishes, with human presence integrated as part of a balanced ecosystem. As we face unprecedented global challenges, this vision becomes increasingly critical: bringing people together to work with—not against—the natural systems that sustain us.
