Stavroula Gkyrti (Valia)

Valia Gkyrti is a Chemical Engineer currently working in the LNG Processes Section at DESFA SA – Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator since April 2021. Responsibilities include checking and approving the quality and quantity of LNG cargoes received, preparing energy balances for Revithoussa’s LNG Terminal, and contributing to the methane emissions reduction project under the Oil & Gas Methane Partnership 2.0. Prior experience includes a brief role as an Advisory Assistant in the energy sector with Grant Thornton Greece in March 2021 and an internship at DESFA SA in 2017, where Gkyrti gained insights into the energy field. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras and a high school diploma with honors from the Hellenic American Educational Foundation Athens College.
