Margaret Kraus is a Thomas J. Watson Fellow at the Watson Foundation, focusing on the interdependence of urban animals and humanity within built environments. As a photographer and entrepreneur, Margaret pursues natural-light digital photography and designs original screen-printed apparel. Previous experience includes internships at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum, as well as leadership roles at The Rick and Susan Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity, where Margaret managed a print lab and organized community events. Additional achievements include the Mellon Humanities Fellowship for a photojournalism project and recognition as an exhibiting artist at Rowayton Arts Center. Margaret holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art and Interdisciplinary Humanities from Scripps College.
