Michael Cook

Michael Cook is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in medical device development and engineering management. Currently serving as the Engineering Solutions Director at Design Outreach since April 2022, Michael leads initiatives such as the Afridev/India Mark II Handpump Upgrade Project and promotes the organization's mission through various speaking engagements. Prior to this, Michael held multiple roles at DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction from June 2010 to March 2022, culminating in the position of R&D Partnerships Director, where responsibilities included resolving product issues and leading technical teams. Michael's experience also includes product engineering roles at Acumed and managerial positions at Western Interlock, demonstrating a solid background in both design and leadership across various technological domains. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University.
