Nicholas Wester, PLA, currently serves as the Design & Planning Project Manager at Design Workshop since February 2022, contributing to an internationally recognized design studio specializing in landscape architecture and urban design. In addition, Nicholas holds the position of Section Chair for the American Society of Landscape Architects - Central Texas Chapter since November 2022 and is a member of the Board of Directors for Friends of Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge, an organization dedicated to wildlife and habitat conservation. As of June 2024, Nicholas is also a Council Member on the Austin Monitor Strategic Advisory Council, supporting nonpartisan news coverage in the community. Previous experience includes roles at Halff Associates as a Landscape Architect/Project Manager, HOK as an Urban Design Professional, and research positions at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute and Texas A&M University. Nicholas earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University.
