Garrett Jacobs is an experienced professional in architecture, project evaluation, and operational management. Currently serving as the Director of Project Evaluation & Research, Chief of Finance and Operations, and Interim CFO at Designing Justice + Designing Spaces since March 2019, Garrett has successfully managed financial matters and significantly increased the organization's annual budget. As the Board President and former Executive Director of Open Architecture Collaborative, Garrett has contributed to fostering equity and leading operational compliance within the organization. Previous roles include Fellowship Engagement Lead and Peer Network Coordinator at Code for America, which involved extensive project management and community organizing. Garrett's earlier experience includes coordinating global volunteer networks at Architecture for Humanity and various design and drafting positions in the architecture field. Educational qualifications include a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture from Tulane University, alongside a recent Certificate in Construction Management from California State University - East Bay.
