Tim Butt has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tim started their career with Wichman Gunther Architects as a Senior Associate, where they worked as a Project Designer and Project Manager. Tim then moved on to KZF Design, where they served as a Senior Interior Designer and Project Manager. Following that, Tim joined HNTB as the Director of Interior Architecture, Sports Division, where they managed client relationships, marketing, proposals, and design teams for sports projects. Subsequently, Tim ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Black Bamboo, a high-end home furnishings store and interior design studio known for its unique blend of Asian antiques and modern furniture. Tim managed all aspects of the business, including operations, staffing, marketing, and product sourcing from Asia. After selling Black Bamboo, Tim joined Applied Textiles as the Director of Education, working in the company's educational division for two years. Tim'smost recent position is with Designtex, where they hold the role of Director of Alliance Partnerships. Additionally, they previously worked at Designtex as the OEM Manager. Overall, Tim has a wealth of experience in interior design, project management, business operations, and brand development.
Tim Butt completed their Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning, from 1979 to 1988. Additionally, they participated in the Kauffman Foundation Fast Trac Entrepreneur Program, although the start and end years are unknown.
