Lauren Beck has a diverse range of work experience. Lauren has worked as a Head of Projects and an Engineering Project Manager at Desolenator, where they were responsible for the build of the first Desolenator community scale plant. Lauren also worked as a Process Engineer at Desolenator and Celti Renewables Limited.
Before that, Lauren was a WaSH Project Manager at EduCARE India NGO, where they gained experience in designing and implementing sustainable engineering solutions. Lauren was also involved in a water project at All Hands and Hearts, where they helped build a water filtration system and improved sanitation facilities in Nepal following a natural disaster.
Lauren's earlier experience includes working as a Process Engineer at INVISTA, an internship at VEKA AG Recycling, and various roles at The University of Edinburgh, including Class Representative, Nuffield Science Bursary recipient, and President of Chemical Engineering Society. Lauren collaborated on a research project on cancer growth modeling using computer simulation.
Lauren Beck completed their education from 2007 to 2012 at The University of Edinburgh, where they earned a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering.
