Kevin Gilboe

Kevin Gilboe has extensive work experience in design leadership roles. From 2019 to present, they are working as a Project Lead at Design Core Detroit. Prior to this, they worked at 3M, starting in 2010. At 3M, they held various leadership positions including Head of Design, International, where they led multidisciplinary design staff across several countries and collaborated with global marketing functions. Kevin also served as the Head of Design, Asia-Pacific, overseeing design teams and opening new design centers in Tokyo, Bangalore, and Shanghai. In addition, they worked as the Head of Design, Consumer Business Group, and Senior Design Manager, Consumer & Office Business, where they led design strategy and projects for various business portfolios. Before joining 3M, Kevin worked at Whirlpool Corporation as the Brand Studio Manager and Category Lead Designer for KitchenAid, where they led international design teams and was responsible for the design of KitchenAid appliances.

Kevin Gilboe completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Industrial Design at the University of Michigan from 1998 to 2002. Later, from 2005 to 2007, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) in Product Development at Northwestern University.
