Delisha U. has an extensive work experience in various industries. Delisha began their career in 2002 as a Public Relations Manager at the General Motors Minority Dealers Association, where they improved the association's industry positioning through brand marketing strategies. From 2006 to 2011, Delisha worked as a Senior Consultant and Founder at Venture Management Associates. At Henry Ford Community College, they served as a Marketing Recruitment Specialist from 2008 to 2011, significantly improving campus recruiting efforts through expanded brand awareness. Delisha then joined Direct Impact as a Senior Associate, managing product communications in emerging markets and designing targeted product launch strategies. At GTB, they held the role of VP, Communications Manager from 2014 to 2018, overseeing internal and external communications, as well as coordinating social media activities. Their most recent position was at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, where they served as the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications. Delisha developed and executed marketing strategies, implemented digital content strategies, and collaborated cross-functionally to introduce new initiatives. Currently, they are working as the Development Manager - Membership & Annual Fund at the Detroit Historical Society.

Delisha U. is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management at Eastern Michigan University. Prior to this, Delisha obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Relations & Communications, also from Eastern Michigan University.
