Addison Lynch

Addison Lynch joined the Lions as Defensive Quality Control Coach for his first season in Detroit and fifth in the NFL in 2022.

Lynch most recently served as the assistant defensive backs coach with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021. In Las Vegas, he helped guide S Tre'von Moehrig (PFWA) and CB Nate Hobbs (PFF) to All-Rookie Team selections. He also assisted CB Brandon Facyson in recording career highs in total tackles (53), solo tackles (40), pass defenses (13) and interceptions (one).

Prior to his time with the Raiders, Lynch spent three seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers (2018-20). He was promoted to assistant defensive backs coach in 2020 after spending his first two seasons in Los Angeles as quality control – defense. Throughout his time with the Chargers, the defense ranked sixth in net passing yards allowed per game (217.3 avg.) and eighth in total yards allowed per game (330.1 avg.).

Before entering the NFL coaching ranks, Lynch spent six years (2012-17) working under head coach Jimbo Fisher at Florida State as a quality control assistant on defense. His mentorship helped the Seminoles earn bowl appearances in each of his six seasons, including five-straight New Year's Six Bowl appearances. Lynch was a part of the coaching staff that led Florida State to the BCS National Championship in 2013.

He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Mississippi College in 2011.

A native of Boston, Mass., Lynch played safety at Bryant University from 2007-11. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing.
