Marco Salomone

Marco Salomone has over 12 years of work experience in various roles related to business development and management. Marco'smost recent position is as the Director of Business Development at the Detroit Regional Partnership, where they have been working since 2022. Prior to that, Marco worked as a Business Development Manager at the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation for three years, from 2019 to 2022.

In their earlier career, Marco served as the Interim Executive Director and later the Director of Business Development at the Detroit Region Aerotropolis from 2015 to 2019. Here, they played a vital role in driving expansion and new investment in and around Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Willow Run Airport. During this time, Marco capitalized on the region's highly developed transportation infrastructure to attract commerce and growth opportunities that relied on secure and efficient supply chains.

Before joining the Detroit Region Aerotropolis, Marco worked as an Account Manager at Search Optics for a year and as an Admissions Advisor at Baker College for about a year and a half. Furthermore, they gained supervisory experience as a Supervisor at MSU Greenline from 2010 to 2012.
