Gary Smith

Gary Smith is an experienced wind turbine and maintenance technician with a robust background in mechanical and operations roles across the energy sector. Currently serving as a Wind Turbine Technician at Deutsche Windtechnik since October 2021, Gary previously worked for TotalEnergies as a Maintenance Technician for the Culzean field and held senior roles with Chrysaor and Shell on the Lomond Platform. Prior experience includes positions at Apache Corporation, Maersk Oil, Petrofac, and Zodiac Maritime Limited, highlighting expertise in mechanical systems, control room operations, and plant optimization. Gary holds an HND in Mechanical Engineering from Glasgow College of Nautical Studies and completed education at Dunfermline High School.
