Adiela María Cortés Cortés

Adiela María Cortés Cortés serves as the CEO and co-founder of ALKAMEDICA® since October 2006 and has extensive experience in various roles related to health and microbiology. Currently, Adiela also holds the position of Directora de Investigación y Desarrollo for Vernacare, overseeing strategies for health institutions in Colombia and Costa Rica. Additional roles include Technical Director at SADEST, where the promotion of scientific development and regulatory compliance of medical devices is prioritized, and representative for Colombia at SODEL, focusing on scientific outreach and research. Previously, Adiela managed the Medical Division at Esterimedi S.A. and contributed to academia as a Biology instructor and researcher. Educational qualifications include a degree in Bacteriology and Microbiology from Universidad Metropolitana de Barranquilla and multiple specialized diplomas in public health and project management.
