Alamgir Ahmed

Alamgir Ahmed is a seasoned professional in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) with extensive experience in humanitarian and development sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Project Officer – M&E at the German Red Cross since January 2019, Alamgir is responsible for establishing standardized M&E systems and collaborating with technical teams for effective project evaluation. Previously, as MEAL Coordinator at World Vision, Alamgir coordinated comprehensive M&E arrangements and led various assessments and evaluations. Alamgir also held positions at the Community Development Centre (CODEC), first as a Programme Officer - MEAL, and earlier as a Program Officer - People's Organization, where responsibilities included ensuring functional MEAL systems, conducting field visits, and supporting community mobilization. Alamgir holds a Master's degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Rural Planning from Khulna University.
